Sensenich Aircraft Propellers

Aircraft Accessories of Oklahoma is proud to distribute Sensenich aircraft propellers, including FAA-certified fixed-pitch aluminum propellers for general aviation aircraft.

Sensenich Propeller Company has manufactured aircraft propellers for more than 90 years. Brothers Harry and Martin Sensenich began experimenting with engines and propellers in 1927 when a Pennsylvania snowstorm made trudging around their family’s dairy farm difficult. They started with an engine- and propeller-driven ice sled—then transitioned to producing fixed-pitch wooden propellers in 1932 through the newly incorporated Sensenich Brothers business.

The company began producing fixed-pitch aluminum propellers for general aviation aircraft in 1947 and continued expanding its capabilities to support experimental aircraft, light-sport aircraft, unmanned aircraft, and other specialized applications.

Today, Sensenich manufactures aluminum, wood, and carbon-fiber aircraft propellers for certificated, experimental, antique, light-sport, and STOL aircraft. All Sensenich manufacturing and engineering operations are based in Plant City, Florida.

Sensenich Aluminum Aircraft Propellers

Sensenich aluminum propellers are designed to combine the strength and consistency of forged aluminum with the precision of modern manufacturing.

Every Sensenich aluminum propeller begins with 2025 forged aluminum. The propeller is CNC-machined and then hand-finished to meet tight dimensional tolerances. Each finished propeller undergoes a detailed 56-point inspection, and every aluminum propeller design is vibration-tested before Sensenich approves it for use with a particular engine. These controlled manufacturing processes and testing standards make Sensenich propellers some of the highest-quality, best-performing, and most reliable propellers used in general aviation today.

Fixed-pitch propellers have no moving pitch-control mechanism, helping reduce weight, complexity, and maintenance requirements. The blade angle is established for a specific balance of takeoff, climb, cruise, and overall aircraft performance.

Sensenich produces fixed-pitch aluminum propellers in multiple diameters, configurations, and pitches for popular general aviation applications, including aircraft powered by Continental and Lycoming engines. Propeller selection directly affects takeoff, climb, cruise performance, engine RPM, and overall aircraft efficiency. To choose the right fixed-pitch propeller model for your aircraft, consider your engine model and horsepower, approved aircraft applications, operating RPM, aircraft speed, and your ideal balance between climb and cruise performance. At Aircraft Accessories of Oklahoma, we can work with you to verify part availability and determine which Sensenich propeller is appropriate for your aircraft, engine application, and performance priorities.
