How does an Aircraft Hydraulic Pump work?
When an aircraft hydraulic pump operates it performs two functions. Its mechanical action creates a vacuum at the pump inlet that allows atmospheric pressure to force liquid from the reservoir into the inlet line of the pump. Secondly, its mechanical action delivers this liquid to the pump outlet and forces it into the aircraft hydraulic system. It produces liquid movement or flow. It does not generate pressure. It only produces the flow necessary for the development of pressure that is a function of resistance to flow fluid into the system.
We overhaul, exchange, repair, and bench check aircraft hydraulic pumps. We also carry Factory Re-Man and New units. An 8130-3 airworthiness certificate is available upon request.
