How does an Aircraft Fuel Pump work?
A fuel pump is driven by the rotation of the aircraft engine. As the pump rotates, it creates a suction which draws fuel from the tank. As fuel enters the pump, it moves across the blades to the discharge side of the pump. The fuel, under a pre-specified pressure, then makes its way to the aircraft fuel servo or carburetor.
We overhaul, exchange, repair, and bench check aircraft fuel pumps. An 8130-3 airworthiness certificate is available upon request.
